Anne-Sophie Mutter versteht Musik nicht nur als künstlerischen Ausdruck, sondern auch als verbindende Kraft zwischen Menschen und Kulturen. Als weltweit gefragte Geigerin ist sie auf allen großen Bühnen der Welt zu Hause – und nutzt ihre internationale Präsenz, um sich für humanitäre Zwecke einzusetzen.
Mit Benefizkonzerten und sozialen Projekten unterstützt sie unter anderem Hilfsaktionen für die Ukraine und Organisationen wie Save the Children. Ihr Wirken zeigt: Musik kann Brücken bauen, Hoffnung geben und Menschen über Grenzen hinweg vereinen.

Ein besonderes Interesse der Künstlerin gilt der zeitgenössischen Violinliteratur.
Thomas Adès, Unsuk Chin, Sebastian Currier, Aftab Darvishi, Henri Dutilleux, Sofia Gubaidulina, Witold Lutoslawski, Norbert Moret, Krzysztof Penderecki, Sir André Previn, Wolfgang Rihm, Jörg Widmann und John Williams haben ihr Werke gewidmet.

Mit technischem Feinsinn, interpretatorischer Tiefe und einem unverwechselbaren Klang hat Anne-Sophie Mutter über Jahrzehnte hinweg ein breites Repertoire eingespielt – von der klassischen und romantischen Literatur bis hin zu zeitgenössischen Kompositionen, viele davon eigens für sie geschrieben. Diese Klangdokumente sind nicht nur musikalische Meisterwerke, sondern auch Zeugnisse einer Musikerin, die das Geigenspiel unserer Epoche maßgeblich geprägt hat.

Die Anne-Sophie Mutter Stiftung unterstützt junge, hochbegabte Musikerinnen und Musiker durch Stipendien, Mentoring und Auftrittsmöglichkeiten.

Thank you, London! ❤️ So grateful to everyone who joined us at the @barbicancentre for the European and UK premiere of “Likoo”. It was incredibly special to share this evening with the composer of this remarkable work, @aftab.darvishi.
Together with @maximilianhornung and @lauma_skride, we explored music by Beethoven, André Previn, and Aftab Darvishi and celebrated the power of music to touch and connect us all.
And not to forget: the encore by the great John Williams was especially close to my heart ✨

Get last-minute tickets: Tomorrow, May 12, I will return to the beautiful @frauenkirchedresden for a very special benefit concert in support of @aerzteohnegrenzen. Together with the wonderful @lauma_skride and the young cellist @sakura.cello (from my foundation), we will perform two extraordinary masterpieces of the piano trio repertoire: Beethoven’s magnificent “Archduke” Trio and Tchaikovsky’s deeply moving Piano Trio in A minor.
Music has the power to unite, to heal, and to remind us of our shared humanity. The Frauenkirche, a symbol of peace and reconciliation, offers the perfect space for an evening dedicated to compassion, solidarity, and hope.
